Young Promoters from Tonypandy Community College prepare to host a night of circus and mayhem!
A group of imaginative young people have been working hard to bring a circus event to their community.
Young promoters – a project run by The Night Out Scheme through the Arts Council of Wales has been working with Communities first to equip the group with the skills needed to turn the school into a performance venue.
They will welcome the talented ‘Circus Bezerkus’ Company on the 2nd October with their show ‘Komedy of Errors’ which is a perfect night out for all the family. There will be dazzling juggling, unicycling, circus skills and lots of laughter.
One of the Young Promoters explains ‘We’ll be doing all the jobs on the night like selling tickets and refreshments and we get to meet the performers and help them get ready’.
Lynne Jones, who works with the group at Communities First added ‘It’s really important to get young people involved in organising community events. The group have come up with great ideas to make the night full of fun. We hope it’ll be a sell out.
The show ‘Komedy of Errors’ will be performed on the 1st October at Tonypandy Community College at 6pm (doors open at 5pm). Tickets are £3.50 adult, £2.50 children and concessions and £9 for a group ticket. Tickets are available on the door or in advance from the School.
