Congratulations to Connor Edwards on being selected for the Welsh Table Tennis team at the Commonwealth Games this summer.

Connor will travel to Glasgow with fellow team members and ex Tonypandy students Ryan and Steve Jenkins for the two week event.

Connor’s passion for the game started after he saw Ryan give an exhibition match in the College whilst in Yr7 and he’s been playing ever since.  He has

Connor has advanced through the youth ranks to represent Wales at championship on many occasions.

Mum Katherine Edwards  said “ As a family we are so proud of all Connor’s achievements, he has worked so hard over the past 7 years. His passion started in school and I want to thank the College for all their support”

Headteacher Mrs Helen O’Sullivan said

“We are very proud of Connor as both a student and a sportsman, his achievements are recognition for the commitment and dedication he has given to table tennis, it is well deserved. Governor’s staff and students follow Connor’s success and look forward to seeing him in the commonwealth games this summer. What an achievement!”
