Sixth form students Dewi  Harris, Alex Prosser  and Naomi Lewis, invited Education Minister Leighton Andrews to the College this week to share  their experience of volunteering in Uganda.

The students visited Mbale during February half term, and undertook projects to improve the learning environment of young people in schools and within the community.

The students were keen to provide Mr Andrews with their views on the lives of young people in Africa as compared to Wales and how the trip enabled them to complete the Welsh Baccalaureate via a non-traditional route.

Alex, Dewi and Naomi will soon be sharing their experience with fellow students on our Ugandan Day in early May.
