The College Eisteddfod is taking place on Friday February 18th (last day of this half term) for KS3 students.

 The event will be run over lessons 1, 2, 3 & 4 students will be in the hall for the celebrations, watching and supporting the various acts perform. 

 The Welsh department have organised 6 houses: – Coch, Glas, Porffor, Melyn, Oren and Llwyd with students from each form group in year 7, 8 & 9 a member of a house. With each one being made up of 1 year 7, year 8 and year 9 class.

Acts are competing for their houses and we have a great variety this year from Singing and Dancing to presentations about St David.  It’s not too late to take part and win much needed points for your house!!

If you have a talent (any talent!!) and would like to take part drop into the Welsh dept to see Mrs Cruickshank by the end of the week and hopefully you can be celebrating being part of the winning house!

 Each act that contributes will be rewarded with additional points for their house, therefore encouraging their competitive nature and their enthusiastic support.  Dont forget the day of the Eisteddfod is a non -uniform day so wear the colouyr of your house to suppoprt your act ( points will be givcen to teh houyse wearing the most of their colour.)

 Students will then take part in Welsh themed activities during lesson 5.
