It is expected that some students in year 10, and all students in Years 11, 12 and 13 sit an external assessment in the subjects they are studying.
- Students are entered for examinations appropriate to their abilities.
- Students should receive support and encouragement in order for them to complete the examination syllabus.
- Parents of students failing to meet syllabus requirements/ showing underachievement will receive communication from the teachers expressing concern from the Head of Department

Examinations are sat throughout the year, with the main examination series in November, January and May/June.
Students will also sit mock examinations prior to their actual exams in order to fully prepare them.
