BTEC qualifications have been developed to provide specialist work-related qualifications in a range of areas.

It will give you a good feel for what it will be like to be at work as well as developing your communication, numeracy, literacy, ICT, time management and teamwork skills.

It is our aim that every learner who wants to succeed will do so. We are here to help you achieve your goals and qualify in the BTEC course you have chosen to study. The purpose of this website is to inform you, the learner, of what your programme has to offer, as well as giving you the materials you need to complete your coursework.

Students will be assessed through coursework for each unit of study by faculty members of staff.  An external moderator will then assess a sample of work from each year and course. There are no formal exams in this subject.

Students will achieve a PASS (C grade), Merit (B grade) or a Distinction (A/A* grade) by the end of the course once all the coursework has been completed. Students will be regularly assessed and monitored throughout the whole course.  Coursework will be marked regularly and feedback will be given in accordance to each task completed.
