Students from Year 10 and 12 enjoyed a shocking but amazing production of Frankenstein at the National Theatre in London. The students who are or will be studying Mary Shelley`s gothic novel as part of their A level in literature spent an enjoyable day visiting the Tate modern, Shakespeare`s Globe and the much publicised performance. Johnny Lee Miller played the monster with Benedict Cumbebatch taking the role of Victor. The actors are alternating the parts for each performance. “The play was amazing and really gripped us from the moment it began” said Josh Embling a year 12 student. Mrs Owen, Head of English plans to take students back to London to see The National Theatre`s production of War Horse.
