Conor Edwards and Alex Prosser, of Tonypandy Community College have become Greenhouse Wales first National Champions.  They won the junior boys doubles yesterday in a fiercely competitive tournament.  They won their final 3-1 beating Dan O Connell, who 30 minutes before had won his own National Title in the Junior Boys and Cameron Thomas who has come through the ranks with Greenhouse in Tonypandy.  What makes ths achievement even more remarkable is that this event was an U18 event, and the boys are only 13.  I am very proud of what the boys have acheieved as they work hard on and off the table and are a credit to Greenhouse and Tonypandy.

In other results from yesterday, Greenhouse had a real go at winning another national title.  In the cadet boys, Conor Edwards (Tonypandy)and Kieron Tann (Ferndale) reached to the semi finals.  Conor Edwards lost in the semi finals to Lewis Williams.  Conor had a great chance as he went 2-0 up and was playing some unbelievable table tennis, but Lewis dug deep and fought back and won 3-2.  Kieron Lost to Lee Morgan, the eventual winner 3-1.  The boys played really well.  Other results saw Chris Griffiths of Ferndale beat the No.4 seed, Alex O Connell in his group.

In the cadet girls, Nicole Hall played some fantastic table tennis to reach the final where she came up against Charlotte Carey.  Nicole really pushed Charlotte hard in all 3 sets, but lost out 3-0 in 3 very close sets.  Carys Webster also made the semi finals by beating number 2 seed Beth Roberts.  Carys was 2-0 and 10-9 down and fought back to win 3-2.
Well done to all!!!
