I am writing to inform you of the arrangements for the end of term and the start of term in September.

Below this letter you will find details of :

  • the last week of term arrangements
  • examination dates
  • arrangements for the start of term.

Parents and guardians are reminded that students should comply with the College requirements for uniform and equipment and they should not present themselves with excessive jewellery or bizarre hairstyles on their return in September.  All students should be prepared for their first week back in College and they should ensure they have the correct, kit, lesson equipment (pencil case, calculator etc.) and an appropriate school bag. This equipment and bag must be brought to school every day.

To encourage participation in extracurricular activities, improve punctuality and address issues of health and safety from September, KS3 Students (Years 7, 8 and 9) will not be permitted to leave College at lunch time. If you wish your child to come home for lunch, a formal application needs to be made to the relevant Progress Manager (Year 7, Mrs K. Phillips, Years 8 & 9, Mrs H. Amos) and a personal pass will be issued in September.

Examination Results

A Level           Thursday 13th August 2015           9.00am-12.00noon

GCSE             Thursday 20th August 2015           9.00am-12.00noon

The College will be open for students to collect their examination results from 9.00am until 12.00 noon with phone lines open from 10.00am.

Staff will be available on both these days to provide advice and guidance for students who require it. Any students wishing to have their results posted to them will need to provide a stamp-addressed envelope by Friday 17th July 2015 to the main College reception.

September 2015

 The College will re-open after the summer holidays as follows :

Tuesday 1st September 2015                     INSET Day (staff only)

Wednesday 2nd September 2015              All Year groups

Thursday 3rd September 2015                   All Year groups

Friday 4th September 2015                         All Year groups

When Year 10 students return to College on Wednesday 2nd September when they will engage in a Welsh Baccalaureate Induction day. Please return attached consent as soon as possible.

Various activities will be taking place for Post 16 Induction and students will be advised on Tuesday 2nd September over any specific requirements.


 The College uniform is available at local stockist for September 2015.  For further information, please consult our website.
