March the 1st was once again a day of celebration, talent and lots of laughs at TCC. Students and staff alike crowded the hall decked out in their house colours and in fine spirit.
The Welsh department aided by the KS4 GCSE Welsh students had organised a full programme of events which included recitation of Welsh poetry, dance troupes, solo and group singing, a staff leek-eating contest and there was even a sheep shearing contest compared by Mr. Evans who came as his alter-ego “Farmer Giles”!
Mrs Williams and the rest of the team would like to thank the wonderful, competitors who got up on stage to perform. It was a really good day and lovely to see our students taking part and showing their talents outside the classroom. Mrs Williams would also like to say a very special thank you to Mr Davies who has been incredibly supportive and has worked tirelessly making wooden sheep and a new winners shield. He even brought his hand-made wooden Eisteddfod chair for the occasion. Mrs Williams said that “it would not have been such a successful day without him and I am looking forward to working with him again next year as he has so many great ideas!”.
Thanks to the staff and students who took part or who gave up their time to help make the day so special and to the students themselves who behaved so well, were respectful and supportive of each other on the day. Da iawn a Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus i chi gyd!
