Congratulations to all the students that completed in this year’s Tonypandy Community College ‘National Poetry Competition’.
It was extremely tough decision as standard was really high. The winning poem had a good story to it with a clear opening and closing. This acrostic poem used interesting rhyming and alteration.
Well Done to James Fredrick Year 9
ICT also ran a poetry competition. Students at the KS3 had to write a poem themed around ICT. The students who had written this exciting and enlightening poem is well worthy of this prize.
The ICT poetry prize winner goes to Moy Trott Year 8.
Take a peak below of both of the poems. Congratulations boys!
WHAT ICT MEANS TO ME
Opening ceremonies are very grand
Lots of athletes take the stand
You can be there to shout and scream
Many awards are to be seen
People carry the torch with pride
Lighting the flame in their minds
Closing ceremony the flame will flicker
Say Goodbye, the games are over.
