On Thursday 19th September 2013, Tonypandy Community College’s annual “Presentation Evening” took place, a celebration of the students’ success and achievements in the past year.

The Headteacher, Mrs H. O’Sullivan, welcomed RCT Mayor Cllr Anne Crimmings, current and past students, parents and friends of the College, before congratulating those recognised on their achievements, stating that this year had seen the best A level results in the College’s history adding that  100% of past students wanting to further their studies have gone onto their chosen  universities  such as Loughborough,  Aberystwyth and Cardiff .

Throughout the evening students gained recognition for the outstanding work produced and for exemplary work ethics in subject’s areas, as well as the more traditional awards of the “The George Thomas Cup” and “The Chrysanthemum Cup”.  Student’s success at GCSE and A Level success was also recognised and commended.

The audience was entertained by the cast of “Grease” singing a medley of songs  from the production, ahead of the show in November.
