Students from Yr12 braved the bitter cold wind to work together to build a recycled bottle greenhouse, as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate qualification. Bottles for the project were supplied by RCT Streetcare team thanks to Adrain Evans for arranging this.

The community event saw the young people and staff select, cut, wash recycled bottles which will form part of the side of the greenhouse, as well as build the wooden frame. The project will be completed by the students in the New Year and placed in the organic allotment.  The  College Eco team and the new e3+ gardening group will be putting the space to great use once the milder weather arrives.

As part of the days events students also made Christmas wreaths, table decorations and potted seasonal plants for sale at the College Christmas Fayre.

 Well done to all involved.
