Registration is now open to join the 1700 walkers who have previously walked from Park to Pit for Macmillan Cancer Support and helped raise over  £100,000 for people affected by cancer in South Wales.

We’re getting ready to do it all again on Saturday 13th June and we’d love you to join us .This year registration is FREE and every penny raised makes a real difference to those affected by cancer.

 

This 11mile family friendly walk sets off at 10am from Tynewydd Fields, Treherbert and continues down through the Valley via Treorchy, Pentre, Ystrad, Llwynypia, Tonypandy,Penygraig, Dinas ,Porth finishing at Rhondda Heritage Park, Trehafod.

Walking for Macmillan is more than just a great way to raise money, it gives you the opportunity to support your community, retrace happy memories or simply get active.

Volunteer Event Organiser, Jeff Cowland of Tonypandy said, “each year the walk gets bigger and better, even the sun shone for us last year! Whilst we can’t guarantee the sunshine this year, we can guarantee a great day out and that’s down to the amazing Rhondda communities who  give so generously .Taking part in the Rhondda Walk gives you the opportunity to walk alone, with friends, work colleagues or even with your dog, whoever you chose to walk with you will help improve the lives of those affected by cancer.”
