Yr7 representing the College at the RCT Regional Rugby Tournament.

We are delighted to announce they recorded the following results on the way to becoming Regional Schools Champions.

Group Match 1 v Treorchy – Won 22-7
Group Match 2 v Ferndale – Won 19-0
Final v Cymer – Won 20-10

So congratulations to Jac Lewis and his side on lifting the trophy for the first time. It was a fantastic team effort in a variety of changing climatic conditions.

Following the success of Yr7 on Tuesday the Yr8’s had the difficult job of trying to match the efforts of the year below.

But, they did – so on Thursday they represented the College at the RCT Regional Rugby Tournament.

We are delighted to announce they recorded the following results on the way to becoming ‘shared’ Regional Schools Champions.

Group Match 1 v Tonyrefail – Won 20-0
Group Match 2 v Cymer – Draw 5-5 (Cymer were also Champions with us)
Group Match 3 v Porth – we were winning 15-0 with 2 minutes to play when sadly Jamie Boundford sustained a possible broken collar bone ( we wish him well)  As a result the tournament came to an early end.

So congratulations to Iestyn Edwards and his side on lifting the trophy (all be it shared) for the first time.

Also massive thanks to Mr Owen for his hard work in training and organising the boys off the field.

Mr Davies
