Tonypandy Community College student Stacey Baker is aiming for a job at Downing Street!

The year 11 student has worked tirelessly reach the shortlist and become a Youth MP for Rhondda Cynon Taf.

This week she utilised her presentation and organisational skills as the Chair of the Rhondda Cynon Taff Youth Forum held at Pontypridd’s Council Chamber in the Municipal Buildings.

Thanks to the support of Cllr Mark Norris, this was the first time for the role of Chair to be undertaken by a young person.

With Stacey in charge the proceedings went smoothly and a range of consultations and discussion workshops gave an opportunity for the young people of the County Borough to have their say.

Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf Cllr Rhys Lewis gave a vote of thanks and congratulated the young people on the role they played in the making the event such a success.

He added that he was proud of their achievements and assured of a bright future for young people in the County Borough.
