Congratulations to Nicole Hall (Tonyrefail) who won the u18 girls singles at the North Gwent Open which could move her to the number one position in the u18 Welsh rankings.  Connor Edwards (Tonypandy) will remain as the countries number one player by taking the u18 boys title.

Proud to say that the Rhondda and SJSA has the best two players in Wales!!!!!!!!!!

In the latest Welsh Dragon event(beginners event) 20 players from the SJSA setup in the RCT schools took the opportunity to get some match experience  by entering the best beginners event in Wales.

Tonyrefail’s Louie Evans (aged 7) finished 3rd in the u11s, whilst Morgan Hams (Tonyrefail) finished in 7th position.  Romy Prosser (Tonypandy) finished 15th which was the highest position for any girl that entered.

Things to look forward to in 2012 – Nicole Hall, Connor Edwards, Callum Evans, Alex Prosser, Jac Jenkins all fighting for a place in the UK School Games, winning the first division in Welsh League, winning titles at the Welsh championships in March, entering more kids in the beginner events, getting more qualified leaders to support the afterschool and community nights

A big thank you must go to RCT Borough Council,  E3+ and school staff  for all the support over the years and giving kids these opportunities!
