Steve Jenkins named “ Wales  Coach of the Year 2010”

Steve was very proud and honoured to have received the Table Tennis Association of Wales award for ‘Coach of the Year 2010’.  Steve said” It is an honour to be recognised for all the hard work that has gone into the project over the past year. The competition was strong which makes it more satisfying. I would like to dedicate the award to the kids for all their hard work (they have achieved so much this year) the parents who help and support the club and obviously Greenhouse Schools charity and the school that support me.

Congratulations to Steve who does such a great job coaching our students.

 British Schools-Silver Medalist

Players from Tonypandy  Table Tennis club held  at the College  travelled with team Wales last weekend to Limerick, Ireland and Connor Edwards, Yr 8 students at the College, achieved a silver medal in the u14 boys team event.  His team mate was Lee Morgan from Swansea and both boys beat England B, Ireland, Scotland, Guernsey and Jersey.  In the semi-final it was 2-2 against Ireland and Connor held his nerve and won the deciding match to take Wales into the final.  The boys were tired in the final and lost 3-0 to England.

This was Connors first time at these championships so a silver medal is outstanding!!!

Well Done Connor.
