I’m very pleased to be joining the team at Tonypandy Community College and look forward to helping all staff, teachers, families and pupils improve college attendance, and working towards RCT’s goals of getting every child into education everyday.
I have a keen interest in Education and all the opportunities it provides, and have enjoyed 16 years as a Primary School Governor.
I have been part of the Attendance and Wellbeing Service for 15 months and covered 21 Primary Schools that feed into Porth CS, Bryncelynog CS and Garth Olwg.
I am here to offer support and guidance to families wherever appropriate. However there may be occasions when this doesn’t work and attendance remains unsatisfactory. Unfortunately we may then have to consider enforcement procedures which sometimes results in court action.
Previously I worked for over 20 years in Banking & Finance and enjoyed a very good working relationship with Rhondda Housing Association.
To discuss any issues or concerns you may have please contact me at the College.
